Genomadix produces molecular tests for infectious disease, precision medicine, and water safety testing.
Steve serves as Genomadix’s CEO after having led the acquisition of Spartan Bioscience in 2022. Previously, Edgett held the role of Executive Vice President of Spartan Bioscience where he oversaw corporate strategy and international business development. Steve has more than 20 years of experience in business development, strategic planning, and international markets. He has founded and held senior leadership roles in several high-technology companies, including Knowmadics, Cobham PLC, EMS Technologies and Honeywell International.
Steve holds an Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
Sean joined Genomadix in 2015 and is currently responsible for the Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality and Regulatory functions at Genomadix. Sean has more than 30 years of experience in operations and manufacturing at companies including Abbott point-of-care, JDSU, and Nortel. He has developed supply chains and distribution network for high volume (50 million annual tests) using a combination of insource and 3rd party support. He has extensive experience managing contract manufacturers both in North America and Asia.
Throughout his career he has worked in partnership with R&D functions to develop and launch new and innovative products in medical device and high tech (telephony) markets.
Sean holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Carleton University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Queen’s University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer.
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Dr. Bridge-Cook has over 20 years of experience in various executive roles in the in vitro diagnostics industry. Prior to Genomadix, he was President & CEO of Rna Diagnostics Inc., a cancer diagnostic company based in Toronto, Canada. Prior to this position, Dr. Bridge-Cook held various executive positions at Luminex Corporation and Tm Bioscience (acquired by Luminex in 2007) for 16 years in positions of increasing responsibility. Dr. Bridge-Cook was VP of Business Development, VP Sales & Marketing and Senior VP Corporate Development at Tm Bioscience, and most recently served as Senior VP of Research & Development at Luminex Corp. While running R&D for Luminex Corp., Dr. Bridge-Cook led teams that developed the first FDA-cleared respiratory viral panel and the first FDA-cleared gastrointestinal pathogen panel, as well as developing and launching the ARIES system and several other instrument and assay launches. Prior to working at Luminex/Tm, Dr. Bridge-Cook worked as an Investment Manager at MDS Capital Corp., a venture capital company focused on Life Science investments. Dr. Bridge-Cook received his B.Sc. from McMaster University and Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Toronto.
Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) and Vice President, Research & Development (R&D)
Rick joined Genomadix in 2020 and is responsible for the Companies finance and administration functions. Rick has a long career as CFO of various Companies, both Private & Public. Rick has a depth of diverse experience in various industries, such as manufacturing hardware (International Datacasting, Versatel Networks), natural health products manufacturing (St. Francis Herb Farm), in the consumer service industry with a hardware / software platform (FanVision LLC, Kanagroo TV, Inbusiness Solutions). Much of Rick’s career has been focused on leading companies through a transition, both financially, and, in many cases operationally as COO or VP Operations.
Rick has an Honours Bachelor of Chartered Accounting Studies from University of Waterloo and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
